The School for Humaning Well®

A six-month journey to free yourself from the noise, come home to your true nature, and live with more peace, presence, and love

Next Class Begins January 2027
Limited to 14 participants

What does it mean to human well?

This school isn’t about self-improvement. It’s about self-liberation.

At some point, for many of us, survival stopped being about food and shelter—and started being about protecting identity. We became obsessed with being seen a certain way: as good, kind, accomplished, spiritual, healthy. And self-improvement became our religion.

Everywhere you turn, someone’s selling a “better” version of you—more productive, more beautiful, more enlightened. We chase it, hoping that if we just work hard enough, fix enough, earn enough, we’ll finally be okay. Safe. Loved. Whole. Free.

But what if the constant effort to become better is actually the thing pulling us further away from who we truly are?

To human well isn’t about achieving some idealized version of yourself.

It’s not about transcending your flaws, becoming spiritually superior, building a polished life, or finally “getting it right.”

It’s about meeting yourself—and your life—with honesty, compassion, and presence.

It’s about understanding your human design—what’s driving your actions—so that you have greater choice.

Because underneath the striving, pleasing, and withdrawing… is fear. Fear of failure. Rejection. Abandonment. And when fear is at the wheel, we live in reaction—not truth.

The problem isn’t the desire to grow—it’s what’s motivating it.

There’s no shame in wanting to evolve. That longing is sacred. But when the ego is chasing safety, approval, or perfection, we forget that we’re already whole.

This school is here to help you remember.

You are not broken. Your life is not a problem to solve.

And when we stop resisting what’s real, life becomes richer, truer, more alive—not because we’ve improved, but because we’ve come home to ourselves.

Why This School, Why Now?

The Heartache Is Real. So Is the Way Home.

We’re living in a time of unraveling.

Systems are crumbling. Division is growing. The Earth is hurting.
And beneath the surface of our busy, achievement-driven lives… so are we.

This isn’t just personal pain—it’s generational, systemic, and global. A culture built on individualism, separation, and control has brought us to burnout, blame, and profound disconnection.

We were taught to go it alone. To prove our worth. To see pain as weakness.
To prioritize success over sufficiency. Mind over heart. Power over presence.
And in doing so, we’ve forgotten our belonging—to each other, to the planet, and to ourselves.

But pain, while deep, is also a portal. When we stop avoiding it—and meet it with compassion—something begins to shift.

We remember that healing doesn’t happen in isolation. That freedom is not a solo pursuit. That our personal liberation is woven into the collective’s.

This is the deeper work of The School for Humaning Well.

It’s not about fixing ourselves. It’s about freeing ourselves—from the systems and stories that have kept us small, separate, and afraid. And in that freedom, something new becomes possible.

We begin to live from presence, not fear. To meet life with an open heart—even when it hurts. Especially when it hurts. And from that place, we relate, lead, and create differently.

We start to build a world where tenderness is wisdom.
Where intuition is honored.
Where success is measured in connection, not accumulation.
Where being human doesn’t mean being separate—but being of everything.

This is the deeper revolution. Not one of domination, but of devotion to what’s real.

This is how we begin to heal.
Together.

The people who've walked this path with me are living proof that this kind of deep transformation is not only possible—it's your birthright:

  • Charleanea Arellano

    Psychologist, Coach and Speaker

“I came into The School for Humaning Well® in a state of chronic activation. My nervous system was constantly on alert, and everything felt like a 10. Like many high achievers, I believed I needed to have everything figured out, managed, and under control. Being seen in my messiness never felt safe.

Six months later, I don't experience myself the same way. My nervous system is no longer running my life. The most profound change wasn't about fixing myself; it was learning how to be with my experience without immediately trying to change it. I learned about the value in just witnessing my experience. I discovered that so much of what I believed was driven by the stories my mind created rather than what was actually happening. Learning to listen to my body gave me a different way of relating to myself.

As a psychologist, I understood these concepts intellectually. Humaning Well helped me embody them in a way I never had before.

What changed most was my willingness to let myself be fully seen. I stopped believing I had to appear put together all the time. I allowed myself to be vulnerable, imperfect, and human and discovered that connection to myself and others deepened when I allowed myself to be fully seen.

Today, my relationship to work, to urgency, to myself has transformed. I moved from chronic self-judgment into acceptance and compassion. I feel more grounded now. I trust life more. I trust myself more. And I'm experiencing a kind of aliveness and excitement I've never felt before.”

  • Melanie Crist

    Co-Owner, Wayfinders Child Care

"When I started The School, I didn't realize how much I was white-knuckling my way through life. I was moving fast, checking boxes, in constant survival mode. Unconsciously I thought that's how you earn worth and stay lovable. What I didn't know was that urgency and anxiety had completely shut down my aliveness. Joy felt so far away.

What shifted in six months is profound. I learned to slow down—and it's been liberating. I'm less reactive, more intentional, more present. Most importantly, I finally discovered it's safe to feel good. I can open to aliveness without being on guard, without needing to earn it through constant doing. The world didn't end when I stopped white-knuckling my to-do list. Instead, I found joy, presence, and this thread of okayness that runs through everything now.

One month after completing the school, I was sitting at dinner feeling genuinely held by life—not because everything is perfect, but because I feel more connected to myself and to the moment. If you're exhausted from forcing, this school will change everything."

  • Katelyn Lodholz

    Life and Wellness Coach

"I came into this program a little afraid. I'd done other programs before and came out feeling the same way I started, and I couldn't handle another round of that. I was convinced I was broken. But this year changed everything. I stopped performing—stopped being the good daughter, the strong one, the intense achiever—and discovered who I actually am underneath all that protection.

The real shift happened when I learned to feel the pain I'd been running from. When I finally went toward those tender places instead of forcing my way through life, everything opened. My nervous system settled. My mind's tactics lost their grip. I moved from living in constant activation to knowing genuine peace. I still have difficult moments, but now I know the path through them. I know I'm not broken. I'm real, and I'm free."

From Survival To Sovereignty

We can’t create a new way of living by using the same patterns that created the old one.

This isn’t about adding more to your to-do list.
It’s about deepening into what’s already within you and softening what’s been in the way.

Most of us operate from deeply embedded conditioning—perfectionism, people-pleasing, control, avoidance. These were protective strategies. But now, they keep us stuck.

The School’s core teachings—The Pillars of Humaning Well—are here to shift the foundation you live from.

Each one is a doorway back to your essence.

The Pillars of Humaning Well

PILLAR 01

The Mechanics of You

You are not just a mind. You’re a system—made of thought, feeling, sensation, energy, and something deeper: awareness itself.

PILLAR 02

Imagination vs. Direct Experience

Most of us live from the neck up—disconnected from our bodies, caught in our heads.

PILLAR 03

Coping Strategies: A Path to Compassion

Pleasing. Striving. Overworking. Overthinking. Blaming. Numbing. Shutting down. Withdrawing. These aren’t flaws. They’re strategies.

PILLAR 04

Running on Love, Not Fear

Fear wears many masks—anxiety, perfectionism, urgency, blame. It’s often so close we can’t see it.

PILLAR 05

Vulnerability as Your Superpower

Many of us were taught to hide our tenderness. To present well. Hold it together. Stay strong.

PILLAR 06

The Power of Space

We live in a world that glorifies doing. More, faster, better, now.
Rest is treated like a luxury.

What Happens When You Human Well

You…

  • Soften urgency & quiet anxiety

Step out of survival mode and return to presence, where peace and clarity live.

  • Build trust in your inner wisdom

  • Rest without guilt & receive with ease

Let go of proving. Allow yourself to be supported—without apology or earning.

Show up with honesty, openness, and attunement. Connect beyond roles and expectations.

  • Feel safe to be seen—exactly as you are

Drop the mask. There’s nothing to fix. Your wholeness belongs.

  • Set boundaries without guilt or explanation

Honor your needs. Say no from love, not fear.

  • Unhook from pressure and perfection

Let go of proving your worth. You’re already enough.

Root your work in truth, not hustle. Let your being lead your doing.

Let alignment guide your business, relationships, and finances. The more you relax into who you are, the more life flows to you.

these aren’t just possibilities…
they can be your reality.

Who This Is For

There’s no perfect background, income level, or spiritual practice required. This work is about meeting yourself honestly—without the masks, the proving, or the pressure.

It’s for those who are ready to pause the hustle, soften their grip, and explore what it means to live from something deeper than fear. For those who sense there’s more to life than achievement… and are curious enough to find out what that “more” really is.

This Is FOR You If…

  • You’re tired of chasing “better”

  • You want real, lasting transformation—not surface fixes

  • You long to trust life—and yourself—more deeply

  • You’re ready to soften instead of strive

  • You feel the pull to live from love, not fear

  • You crave a space where all of you is welcome

‍ ‍This Is Not For You If…

  • You’re looking for a quick fix or instant breakthrough

  • You want a heavily structured, linear curriculum

  • You aren’t open to exploring the emotional, energetic, or spiritual dimensions of growth

  • You want someone else to give you the answers

  • You’re not ready to take responsibility for your experience

This space is open to all humans. All ages, races, genders, professions.
If you have a heart that beats and a mind that spins, you’re welcome here.
You belong here.

This is not a lecture series. It’s a living laboratory.

The School is intentionally designed to be experiential, embodied, and spacious. Class weekends combine teaching, guided meditation, breathwork, movement, creative exploration, and deep reflection. You’ll engage not just with new ideas—but with yourself.

Transformation happens between the weekends, too. That’s why the school includes:

Weekly Office Hours:

Live, drop-in sessions on Zoom (Alternating Wednesdays at 10am PT and 1pm PT)
These calls are one of the most potent ways to deepen your experience of the program. Bring your questions, your breakthroughs, the places where you're stuck—or simply come to receive. Attendance is optional, and highly encouraged.

Monthly Presence Partners:

Guided meditation sessions with a paired fellow student.
Practice noticing, listening and sharing in connection.

Meet the Guest Teachers

Powerful Voices. Aligned with the Work.

Throughout our journey together, we’ll be joined by a few carefully chosen guest teachers—each one a living embodiment of the themes we explore inside the School. Their stories, teachings, and perspectives will deepen your experience and offer new doorways into your own awakening.

  • Dr. Amy Johnson

Psychologist, author, and founder of the little school of big change.

Amy's work cuts through complexity to reveal the innate health and well-being at the core of every human. With clarity and compassion, she invites you to see beyond habitual thought patterns and remember the freedom that was never lost. This year, she's joined by fellow guest teacher Dan Kelso to explore the intersection of identity and relationship.

  • Dan Kelso

Founder of deep self investigation and author of deep self investigation: a modern guide to awakening

Dan's work points directly at the sense of separation underneath so much of our suffering, inviting a recognition of awareness itself as who you truly are. With precision and warmth, he guides others through direct inquiry into the illusion of a separate self—toward what was always already here. He and Dr. Amy Johnson are teaching together this year, exploring how this same seeing opens within relationship.

  • Kendra Cover

    Somatic facilitator and embodiment guide

Kendra's presence is a transmission in itself—offering a grounded, body-based approach to healing that helps you reconnect with your inner knowing and move from love instead of fear. She helps you meet the body not as something to manage or fix, but as a doorway back to safety, aliveness, and connection.

  • Rohini Ross

Therapist, transformative coach, and guide in spiritual embodiment

Rohini's work is rooted in love, presence, and the innate wholeness within each of us. With gentleness and depth, she supports others in softening self-judgment, reconnecting with their true nature, and living from the wisdom of the heart. She and her husband Angus co-host the podcast Awaken to Love, helping individuals and couples return home to their natural state of ease.

What Clients are Saying

  • Valerie Vidaure

The School for Humaning Well® Student

"At the start of school, I was highly reactive. Quick to anger, quick to judge myself for being reactive, stuck in cycles that felt inescapable. I thought I needed to change my outer circumstances to experience more peace.

This year taught me that there is nothing wrong with me. I've just been believing the stories in my head that were innocently trying to keep me safe. When I learned to recognize a reaction in the moment and ask: what's actually happening right now?—everything changed. Now I pause. I breathe. I notice. I meet myself with compassion instead of judgment.

What surprised me most was how willing I became to show up as my real self. That vulnerability opened doors to deeper connections than I ever had before. Six months in, I have more space inside myself than I thought possible. More peace. More presence. And I'm finally seeing who I actually am underneath all the reactions."

  • Katie O.

The School for Humaning Well® Student

"When I started the program, I was experiencing strange chest pain and deep grief over losing a close family member suddenly. My mind was creating stories of fear that felt consuming, and I didn’t feel at peace in my own body. I relied heavily on myself—on being strong, self-sufficient, in control — a strategy that kept me safe but also kept me from truly living and processing grief building up in my body.

Over the six months, something profound shifted. I learned the mind-body-emotion connection. I discovered my mind creates stories to protect me, and my self-reliance was one of them—a survival strategy that had outlived its usefulness. Through direct experience work and somatic practice, I began to feel what was actually occurring in my body instead of thinking my way through it. The chest pain that plagued the first part of the program gradually decreased. My nervous system settled. My mind quieted.

In the final class, I created an art piece holding both the heartache and the love, the grief and the beauty of life. That's what this work gave me—not an escape from loss, but the capacity to hold it all at once. My inner wisdom is alive and strong. And I'm learning to trust it more each day."

  • Elizabeth Pan

    Actress and Activist

“I have been an actor for years but never really felt like I owned it, and it was making me feel uninspired and wanting to find something else. Working with Amber was my last ditch effort to resolve once and for all why my career felt so torturous to me. Turns out the issue had nothing to do with my career but more to do with my own feelings of being "Enough", in all aspects of my life.

Just the simple act of investing in this experience cleared a lot of my blockages, but definitely, the many tools Amber introduced allowed me to own, in the most genuine and lasting way, my innate “enoughness”. And it has permeated every part of my life: in social situations, in dating situations, and definitely in my career. The proof is in the pudding: I ended up booking and working more than I ever have while I was in Letting Life Love You. Amber had said that our outside world would change and I didn’t believe it. I thought, “That happens to other people, not me.” Well, I am proof that it did! This course is transformational and the best thing I could have done for myself.”

  • Heather Rae Priest

    Producer, Advocate, Artist

“My work with Amber changed how I experience my life. It was steady over the course of the work, subtle in its display, and evocative in its depth. I went into the work with an idea of what I wanted, what I was looking for — and by the end realized that I had truly transformed and the things I wanted were different.

My wishes had deepened, become clearer, and left me with a sense of openness to the unknown. That was powerful. The work is really about becoming our truest selves, often without definitive lines but rather with a heightened awareness and new-found listening. I am truly grateful and would recommend this work only to those who are not afraid to go deeper.”

  • Mary Hyatt

    Holistic Life and Business Coach

“Taking time away from the busyness of life gave me the space to reconnect with my soul’s voice and remember who I am beneath the noise and fear. The biggest gift was the deep homecoming I felt—to myself, my soul, and the Divine within me.

I remembered that life is always supporting me and that I can trust my own wisdom. Without having to force it, the structure of the retreat allowed for a profound insight to emerge—one that revealed the root of my struggles and completely shifted my understanding of myself and my purpose. It was a powerful ah-ha moment that changed the way I see my life and will guide me moving forward.”
